ELISA GOMEZ
(b. 1986)

Elisa is a painter and muralist focusing on landscape through the lens of abstract expressionism. Her bright, floral palettes are often at odds with her chosen texture and gesture, resulting in artworks that create space through spontaneous and chance encounters. She loves to explore the outdoors and use her travels as a means of inspiration for her work. She finds great satisfaction from the bold colors found in nature. She works primarily in oil paints but also uses acrylic paint and mixed media materials.

She loves to use her unconventional practice to connect the community and is always looking for ways to engage with her art. She has participated in several residencies, including the Denver Art Museum and Breckenridge creative arts.

Elisa received her BFA from the University of Utah in 2010 and her Masters in 2020.

GERALD ARRINGTON
stoneware ceramics

I am drawn to the quiet beauty of river stones and driftwood, inspired by their subtle colors, textures, and sense of timelessness. My connection to these natural forms has deepened over years spent flyfishing in mountain streams, where close observation and stillness foster an intimate relationship with the landscape.

My work explores themes of balance, reflecting the natural world’s quiet harmony. Through the hyper-realistic language of trompe l’oeil ceramics, I translate these elements into clay, creating works that blur the boundary between reality and representation.

I invite viewers to slow down and look closely, discovering the intersection of nature and creativity embodied within each piece.
